Mouse Monoclonal Antibody Development - Phase I

mouse Four Balb/C females, are immunized via intraperitoneal injection with your antigen until an appropriate immunological response is obtained. Tail bleeds are evaluated by ELISA and the titer reported. Normally, the animal with the highest titer is selected for spleenocyte fusion in Phase 2. If an inappropriate response is obtained, you may stop the project at this stage.

If you are local to the Baltimore/Washington/Frederick, Md. corridor and want to complete the fusion procedure yourself, we can deliver the immunized animals to your lab.

We will need 5 milligrams of your antigen to complete the 4 animal protocol or just 1 milligram if you want to take the mice at day 57.

Day	Procedure
1	Inject 0.1 ml antigen mixed with 0.1 ml Complete Freund's adjuvant.
14	Inject 0.1 ml antigen mixed with 0.1 ml Incomplete Freund's adjuvant.
35	Inject 0.1 ml antigen mixed with 0.1 ml Incomplete Freund's adjuvant.
44	Tail bleed and ELISA/western.
56	Inject 0.1 ml antigen mixed with 0.1 ml Incomplete Freund's adjuvant.
60	Spleenocyte fusion.
