We purify antibodies from a variety of sample matrices (ascites, blood plasma or conditioned tissue culture fluid) to yield an unadulterated antibody that is ready for use in your important experiments or your manufactured product. A variety of methodologies are employed, depending on the scale (1-200 liters) and the particular application.
Antibody Source | Purification Procedure |
Goat serum | Classical chromatographic and precipitation methodologies. |
Rabbit serum | Protein G chromatography |
A partially purified preparation of hyper immune egg yolks | We immune affinity purify the antibody by covalently coupling the peptide or protein to a solid support (Using residual peptide from an immunogen synthesis or antigen that you supply). |
Ascites or conditioned tissue culture supernatant | Standard chromatographic techniques. |
Client supplied purified antibody | Cleaved above the antibody “hinge region” to yield two Fab fragments per antibody molecule. The procedure is optimized, where the time of cleavage and amount of enzyme used is adjusted to suit your antibody. Uncleaved antibody, Fc fragments and papain are removed from your Fab fragments to yield a pure product |
